To combat this problem, CLC Lodging's multimillion-dollar TALON (Travel and Lodging Online Network) computer system links CLC's hotel contract database with its hotel billing audit system.
The proprietary TALON software automatically performs up to 52 electronic audits on every bill to confirm accuracy. The process ensures invoices have the correct rate and tax, have been cleaned of incidental charges and duplicate transactions, and only contain charges for authorized travelers.
When discrepancies are uncovered, CLC's team resolves them with the hotel directly before the bill is approved and sent to the client. Correcting hotel billing errors can save a client thousands of dollars annually.
