It’s official: travel is coming back. Two-thirds of Americans plan to travel from June 1-August 31, according to a recent study, a 17% increase from the number of people who traveled this spring. Out of those travelers, 74% of Americans will travel domestically.
Spikes in travel paired with gas and staffing shortages are all likely to make travel more difficult to predict and manage. Travelers will have to wait in longer lines at airports, when renting a car, and when checking in to their hotel.
More than one million travelers trust CLC Lodging as their travel management partner. We have tips and tricks to make booking and check-in as smooth as possible.
1. Book in advance
We recommend booking hotels ahead of time to ensure you get a room in the location you need. If you are booking the same day, book early in the day. CLC members can find and book hotels with the “Book Now” feature in our streamlined portal or on CLC’s mobile app.
2. Planning on arriving late? Call the hotel
If you think you will arrive at the hotel after 6 PM, be sure to call the hotel to let them know. This will minimize the chances of hotels overselling your room due to high demand.
3. Call CLC’s hotel hotline if you experience check-in issues
We’re here to support travelers 24/7. CLC members can call CLC’s Help Hotline for immediate check-in assistance directly through our mobile app, under “Support.” The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
